It has been said that there are no new accidents. So, why do we continue to keep making the same mistakes? This session will use case studies to examine the answers to this question. In the process, participants will be introduced to human factors, the top causal factors in accidents, and the need for error management training. The session will also discuss the role that standard operating procedures play in reducing exposure to risk during flight operations. This course is offered at the HAI Rotor Safety Challenge at HELI-EXPO 2024. These sessions are FREE to all HELI-EXPO 2024 registered attendees and exhibitors. Attend at least six Rotor Safety Challenge sessions at HELI-EXPO 2024 and receive a certificate of recognition for completing the 2024 HAI Rotor Safety Challenge.
