CFI-DPE Question and Answer Forum Initial CFI Practical Exam Does preparing for your CFI-initial practical test leave you stumped, frozen in limbo, or just plain guessing? The focus of this webinar is a question-and-answer Zoom session to help aspiring flight instructor applicants better understand what to expect during their initial CFI practical exam. Are you wondering what subject areas cause so many CFI-initial failures? Does it matter if you use pre-made lesson plans? How about Power Point Presentations vs more traditional methods? We will field questions during our meeting but please submit questions ahead of our webinar by using the Google Form listed below. Questions must pertain to the CFI initial exam. Pre-registration is required. Well-known Designated Pilot Examiner Jason Blair will start by discussing The Wings Program as it relates to the CFI rating including CFI renewal and giving Wings credit for completing an eligible topics and activities. We will also be discussing the special emphasis area of runway incursion avoidance as it relates to the CFI-initial exam after which he will answer your questions and discuss what you should know about the CFI-initial practical test. Mr. Blair has served as the Executive Director of the National Association of Flight Instructors, represented the flight training community on a variety of committees including but not limited to the FAA s Runway Safety Council, the General Aviation Joint Steering Committee, the TSA Aviation Safety Advisory Council, NATA s Flight Training Committee, and others. This webinar is intended for those interested in a CFI initial exam. Individuals and pilots with other ratings are welcome to attend and listen in with that in mind!
