This presentation will be divided into two parts. First, we will discuss why ADM is important in general aviation and illustrate examples of fatal accidents due to unsound go/no-go decision-making. Secondly, we will present three scenarios and ask you questions, "Given that information would you make this flight?" or "In-flight if something unexpected happened what would you do now?" This presentation will be both interesting and informative. Douglas Boyd PhD., a research scientist, studies general aviation safety publishing his work in academic journals. Douglas serves on the GA Joint Safety Committee and chairs the Aerospace Medical Association Safety Committee. He is a commercial/IFR pilot and SIC type-rated in Citation 500/525. Mr. Downing an ATP, CFI/CFII/MEI, and owner of WRD Aviation having 40+ years of general aviation experience. He is also a BPT and BPPP Certified Instructor.
