You can receive your weather information from just about anywhere........ but let us look at the original approved weather source (for the FAA), the National Weather Service, a division of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (and this is where all weather data is collected and disseminated in the USA)... and we will review the ongoing efforts of the FAA regarding weather cameras for pilots. Further, a discussion of why one might use the state's road system cameras to help in your pre-light planning.
