This half day workshop will introduce common aircraft welding techniques of Oxy-Acetylene and GTAW (TIG) in a gentle supportive atmosphere. Elements include overview of welding, safety issues, best practices, hands on practice with mild steel with options of 4130 tubing and aluminium. Students will receive pre-workshop material and things to bring to the workshop. A materials fee of $40 covers practice materials and consumables. Attendees age 16 (with parents) and older. Maximum 7 students.
