With the goal of increasing safety and efficiency as we enter our busy summer flying season, FAASTeam Representative Caitlin McCarthy will moderate a discussion between local pilots and ATC Tower Manager Heith Felps. Both GA and commercial pilots are encouraged to attend. Questions are welcome, but set topics will include: the newly published VFR Departure Procedure and possible VFR Approach, visual approaches, using the ALA this summer, VFR inbound traffic reporting procedures, flying and communicating on the instrument approaches, traffic patterns and circling to land, and local landmarks for orientation.
