This event is in support of the EAA Apalachicola Chapter 1646 Safety Program. Rotor down wash plus rotor-craft wake vortices and what it means for small aircraft.This presentation will address the impact of the combined forces of helicopter rotor down wash and wake vortices, known as Helicopter Wake Turbulence. We will look at their impact on small aircraft, see some actual video cases and get a grasp of potential means to mitigate the risk of bad outcomes.
