Navigation under IFR and VFR has become increasingly dependent on GPS follow the magenta line. ATC procedures also depend on Performance Based Navigation which is dependent on GPS. Ask anyone in the Ukraine with a cellphone GPS is very fragile when exposed to interference, such as jamming or spoofing. This presentation will discuss how the FAA is retaining key legacy navigation infrastructure to help in case of GPS problems. WINGS/AMT credit available!
